CD mastering is no new concept in the audio chain. It is the last hearing and spectral enhancement your final master will get before becoming a commercial product.
Why do we need CD mastering in the first place? Well, its simple! You spend a great deal of time recording your project in the studio to get it exactly how you want it, CD mastering is a great wood polish on a nice mahogany table, it gives the shine and polish to complete your finished master. Mastering engineers simply hone in on every other aspect of your project.
At BCL studios, will listen to EQ, Gain, Amplitude, phase correlation and monitor Using ATC master monitors along with a great number of other speak systems. Our criteria was such exacting we had a Class A amplifier built specially for the studio so we could hear even the smallest dynamics and harmonics. Through this process we cover all angles of your finished masters which are then tweaked for audio perfection, clarity and depth to enhance your original master even further for the final product stage before replication and/or duplication.
